Meet Jack Morris, Client Services Executive

As Client Services Executive, I deal with both student and client queries regarding our training material and learning management system. I am currently going through my Level 4 qualification in Financial Planning too, so I can offer a more technical response to our student community, working closely with our Technical Director on all learning material too.

ABOUT ME

I’m a keen football fan and player with my passion for football starting at the age of six when I joined my first team. When I left school, I was lucky enough to embark on a football scholarship to the states. I spent a year of my life in a small town called Sheridan, Wyoming playing football, studying, and working part time. It may have been cut short after only one year but I view the experience in a sense of ‘I am glad it happened’ rather than being sad it ended.

To leave friends and family behind was extremely tough and there were points where I felt homesick but they passed quickly because I reminded myself often how lucky I was to be there. Not many people get a chance like that, so I felt privileged.

My time in the states taught me how to juggle a busy schedule through good time management, team work and it also allowed me to learn about lots of different cultures as the team was very diverse with Americans, South Americans, Scottish and also Irish boys. It was a great learning experience and something I will never forget.

Now in my spare time, I play football for Falkirk Athletic LK Amateurs and Corstorphine Timbers Amateurs.

MY CAREER SO FAR

When I left the states in 2015, I joined the Financial Services sector with a 3-month internship at Redmill before I managed to secure a position with Lloyds Bank in the mortgage reconciliation department. After almost 3 years, I joined HSBC as part of the PPI team in Edinburgh and spent 3 years in that role. After HSBC I was lucky enough to be offered a position back with Redmill as a Client Services Executive and I am loving everything the company and role offers me.

BEING A PART OF REDMILL

I feel absolutely privileged to be a part of this team, not only have I been able to secure the position of Client Services Executive, but Redmill is also putting me through my Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning with their market leading proposition. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this business and my position within it.
