Benchmark Academy achieves exceptional results

Benchmark Academy achieves exceptional results

Benchmark Capital (“Benchmark”), a leading provider of financial planning solutions and part of the Schroders Group, is pleased to report a 92% first time pass rate for delegates participating in its structured training pathways through the Benchmark Academy.

Since launch in January 2022, Benchmark has welcomed around 90 new delegates into its academy, all of whom have benefitted from structured Regulated Financial Planning exam support and bespoke client-skills training.

Benchmark’s academy is designed to help people build a career in financial planning and wealth management by achieving the Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning whilst learning the key skills and behaviours relevant to their role. In addition, the Academy has launched unique pathways for those advancing their careers in paraplanning and administration. The first group to begin their Advanced Diploma, taking them closer to achieving Chartered status, will commence their studies later this month.

The programmes are delivered in partnership with Redmill Advance. Redmill’s structured training solutions ensure delegates receive a blend of eLearning, digital support, and live training to assist with attaining regulatory qualifications whilst embedding core behaviours and client-skills, irrespective of the individual’s prior knowledge, exposure to financial products or past career.

We are also proud to report how inclusive the Academy has been for all neurodiverse students. Throughout 2022 the Academy has welcomed and supported a variety of neurodivergent learners including those with ADHD and Dyslexia, ensuring any additional learning needs were supported. It is critical to both Benchmark and Redmill that all learning needs are recognised and supported throughout the programme.

Ed Dymott, Managing Director Wealth, Benchmark, said:

“Our aim when we launched Benchmark’s own academy was to ensure a clear pathway for the next generation of the best qualified and highly skilled advisers, paraplanners and administrators. These initial results speak for themselves, and to have achieved them with a broad group of learners is a testament to the accessibility of our programme and the inclusive nature of Benchmark. We can’t wait to see how they progress through their journey to becoming the next generation of Chartered financial planners.”

David Tait, Director, Redmill Advance commented:

“It’s truly fantastic to witness such positive results in the Benchmark Academy over the course of its first year. To track a 92% first time exam pass rate is testament itself to the quality of the programme and incredible commitment of the delegates, but it also demonstrates the quality of Benchmark as a supportive and inclusive employer. We look forward to welcoming many more delegates to the programme in 2023 and beyond.”
