PCIAM is a standalone level six qualification offered by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) – that is to say it is not a paper that makes up part of a wider CISI qualification. On successful completion of this qualification delegates that choose to join the CISI as members are able to use the designation MCSI.
Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) enables practitioners to demonstrate their broad understanding of the principles of private client investment advice, within the context of the current regulatory environment.
You will be able to structure a suitable portfolio, selecting from a range of financial products, which meets client objectives and is based on the key principles of know your customer. You will also be able to undertake regular portfolio reviews and evaluations to ensure continued adherence to client objectives.

Candidates will understand the different types of investment asset classes, financial instruments, retail investment products and schemes available in the UK and how they apply to private client circumstances and their portfolios.
Candidates will be able to recommend suitable investment products for private clients. Candidates will be able to evaluate investment performance and review portfolio requirements in response to market movements and customer requirements.
